I live in an area where there's always oncoming traffic (so i can't use my brights) but there's lots of wildlife. It's a bad combination.

Hello LS1Porch, I look forward to your DIY on the headlights. I am wanting to do the same thing, but am not that great when it comes to electrical.

I like the way you think, krystar!
Grandpa#3, the wiring is actually very straight-forward. There's pretty much just two positives and two grounds that need to be connected (and they'll just plug into the existing harness). The hardest part was "fabbing" the housings, because there was nothing commercially available for less than $500. But, that part actually turned out to be MUCH easier than i was expecting. I think i'll probably post on it tonight, it looks like my prior plans got cancelled...
