So would the following chapter be called "LS1 install" ?

I guess print is becoming less and less useful these days, and I do bring my laptop to the car for most projects. With an i-phone I wouldn't even need that! But if I saw one at the book store that looked like the 911 book, I'd probably still buy it. I know there's at least one other 911 performance book (Anderson?) I've seen out there too. Oh well.

A book would be a good idea, but there are a couple of problems. First, who has the time to write a book and keep a 944 running at the same time and secondly, once you have the time you don't have the car anymore and your trying to forget the pain of changing a clutch under a car sitting on jack stands.

lol or a motor oil delete chapter. Then you don't have to worry about leaks anymore.

a book is a great idea. there are a lot of nice upgrades for the 944s.
if you ever pick up a 968, there's also lots of cool stuff people do.

While I agree I don't think the book is necessary, what I do think our cars need is a good wiki. Let's face it, as GREAT as this forum is the fact of the matter is when I need to search for different information for different projects on my 944s it is HARD to find the information on here. Clark's garagae has all the common stuff which is awesome, but all these forums can get a bit intimidating. It took me months to build up the courage to replace my own timing belt just because every day I was finding new bits and pieces strewn throughtout the forums over the years, would have been nice to go to a wiki page dedicated to the task, where the main trunk of the article was the standard procedure but other sections would contain any helpful information.

Alas, Wiki's tend to take a lot of moderator work though... my 0.02 cents
