There is no doubt in my mind that the insurance company will total your 944 with that amount of damage despite the fact that it looks minimal.Take the money and buy a nice 951.

if you decide to repair it, ive got 2 nose panels from an 86. one near minty one with good guards red paint and crest, and my original nose panel, needs repaint as it has some reflective gold tape on it. either is your for price of shipping.

Even if they total it just buy it back, get a salvage title and use the rest to acquire decent used parts (which are easy to find for the 83-88). The nose panel is a pain though since it is spot welded part of the structure (unless someone replaced it with a later bolt on somewhere along the way). I suspect once you get the fender and header panel off it won't be too difficult to beat/bend things back into line. From what is viewable of the bumper mount 'box', it doesn't look like any frame damage. And besides, it'll buff right out...

Let me know how i can help Mike, i dont have much for spare parts, since we both grab what Elliot can part with, but I'm willing to put my back into any help i can! You painted my back bumper (and it looks awesome), its the least i can do.
I almost wrecked mine monday evening on my way home from work, i pulled into the fast lane without realizing how fast the mustang, now behind me, was going. he did everything he could to stop his car from ripping my pretty back bumper off and shoving it up my ****!

I've been trying to buy another parts car to help donate parts to Mike's car... I emailed about 7 people the other day regarding various 944 parts cars around the state, but got no replies! I wish these braindead people on craigslist who post cheap parts cars would actually post a phone number OR reply to an email.
Anyway I'm still trying!
