BBS RS: lip size increase?
I currently have some 16x8j RS' on my N/A, and I was thinking of ways to get my wheels flush without slapping on bigger spacers. Since the RS is a 3-piece rim, I think the easiest way is to just get a bigger lip (1-2" bigger?). I was just wondering if there would be any issues with that. Obviously I know I'd need wider tires, but other than that, any safety issues? Also, the RS' were apparently stock from the dealer (correct me if I'm wrong); I only know the size of the rear wheels, but I'm not too sure on the front so if anyone could clue me in on that, great. Thanks!

If you have the same set I previously had on my red 951, they were 16x7 front and 16x8 rear. What you could probably do is move the outer lip to the front wheels and buy larger ones for the rear (to save some $$). I can't remember if the actual outer lip is 1" inch larger in the rear than the front, or if it's just 1/2" inch larger and the inner barrel is 1/2" larger also. I would do some measurements to find out.
Here is the RS's I had.

Actually, I'll probably just do what (elliot?) suggested with swapping the lips and getting a new set for the rear. thanks for all the input guys
