Default Converting DME to ROW

I have been reading the threads that I could find about running the car in ROW mode and not using the 02 sensor and it seems like this could gain a little power at the possible expense of a little fuel economy. However I haven't been able to find a post showing how to actually set the car up to run this way?

Anyone who has done this care to share how? I would like to try it and see what sort of effect it has on my car.

There is a pigtail on the DME harness, referred to as the coding plug...

they are #27, 28, and 30 on the linked diagram...

and here is the description of their function...

So to run ROW you need to install a 1.8k resistor in the coding plug?

It seems like what it is saying is that US cars have no plug in them, so I would have to make a plug with the resistor in it?

or find someone parting out a ROW car, or that has installed a stand alone EMS in a ROW car... or just install a 1.8K resistor in the coding plug housing and be done with it!

The ROW maps aren't much different - no real gain by changing to them...

Guess it could be used to confirm a faulty O2 sensor.
