'92 968 Vs. '00 Integra Type R

I need to have race school experience or driver's ed. under my belt before doing track days, don't I?
Trevor, it's pretty simple to get onto the racetrack to get some experience and practice under your belt. Track events can be divided into two categories, Time Trials and Racing. Most groups lets you in on Time Trials with mimimal training and safety equipment (helmets). Racing typically requires the roll-cage & harnesses, fire-extinguishers, ignition cut-off and fire-suit.
So far, Wurth Motorsports has the most laid-back requirements for Time Trials (they don't even have racing) with the most track time as well (2.5-3.0 hours a day!). Next comes the Touring Car Club. They have entry-level Time Trial training and then they set you off on your own. They also have a Racing School to transition you into wheel-to-wheel racing as well.
Loads of fun and racing on the racetrack is the most exciting thing out there (next to sky-diving of course!). Read up on Doug's "Pyramid of Speed" a couple of chapters earlier!

G96 - If you're talking about one of the yellow twins that runs in the LA region SCCA you better do some practicing! To get serious with your car you really need the M030 package (limited slip at the least). Without limited slip its real hard to be truly competitive in an autocross. I learned that first hand with my 924S, 944S, and 86 951 with tons of power and a stiff suspension. Best of luck. I'll probably see you at some of the upcoming autocrosses with my 911 (bright yellow).

I can't do suspension of ANY kind and remain in stock class, there was no M030 suspension offered for the 1992 MY. I'm gonna go with something like 450-550 #/in front coilovers and 31mm rear torsion bars, Koni adjustables, and cup sway bars for next season and move up a class but for this year I'll stick with B Stock.
