It isn't so much the paint they mind, as the proximity of the painter.. now I am sure they would be fine if you could do it from a reasonable distance!
You will need one of these to get close enougth to a Polar Bear to paint it.
I prefer shaved... but hey its a personal prefference
Thanks for posting this picture. Bears are much easier to paint when they are shaved. It is so hard to get a consistent coat of paint over a coat of fur. You might contact some peta members they seem to have a thing for painting fur coats.
