Or how about one not only for newbies but also one that all of us in the IT industry have been known to mutter to end-users from time to time?

Without that last one from Peckster I'd be SO uninformed. Thus bump has brought it to the fore.

Maybe i'm weird but it kinda bugs me when people have NA next to their cars in their signatures when the car is an 83, 84, or 85 944. if you're in the know you know its not a turbo, for which the correct number would be 951. so that pretty much rules out the need for NA altogether. so i guess either i'm really really ****, or i'm just weird, or a little of both.

944 - made from 83-89 - fun little cars
951 - made from 85.5-91 - very fast fun little cars

another thing that really gets me is the 944T that people use (even my roommate awhile ago) porsche used the T suffix to denote a touring model, 911T for example, is a 911 Touring, not to be confused with the crazy fast 930. audi TT's are certainly not all twin turbo, nor are any of them twin turbo to my knowledge.

so i'm a lunatic, sue me, i'm just another post-whoring cretin

BUMP!!!

Michael- It's OK.. I was at the Porsche dealer and asked how much they wanted for the 951.. Puzzled, he looked at me like a DITH (Deer in the headlights) and said.. Whats THAT!? I explained it to him, showed him the options tag, and voila. 951.

"Oh, we just call 'em 944 turbo's"...Grrrr

we are all **** retentives...
