I really don't thing a cup 1 wheel (black center with polish lip) will look good on cause of your car metalic blue color, but if you were to paint your wheels center your car color & have the lip polish then it migth look pretty good. But at the end it's a question of taste I guess. ----#1 pic Cup 2 similar to yours satin black with polish lip ---#2 pic even if the wheels are different it's pretty darn close to what you have on your car now.

I've done it on all three of my 944's two of which have 18's on them and I think it makes the the car regardless of color (besides red) look much better, and does not change the perceived size.

Is it possible to put that stick-on black vinyl "primer-look" stuff on wheels? Or would it melt off?
How much does a professional (decent) wheel refinishing cost?

I didn't know Porsche remade the Fuchs wheel. I don't know how big it is but it looks like 18"-19". This is the look I would have been going for, so take a look!

If you spend the time prepare the wheel yourself, you can do all the refinishing. It really isn't that hard, just some sanding and respraying (Unless you want them powdercoated, which will cost money)
The aluminum polishing can also be achieved with a lot of elbow grease, it really depends on what your priorities are as well as your budget.

I do not have the patience for polishing aluminum. Another way to say it is, it's not worth my time to do all that work myself.
I have refinished many wheels before. I can do a good enough job for all the beaters I've had before, but for my 968 it has to be at least 9/10 if not 10/10, so I would probably have a shop do it.
