Speaking of 944 grounds, we did some work on this just this past Satrurday. First of all, to do this work, this tool is absolutely the BEST!!:

With these pads:

Those are like scotch brite pads and have a quick connect feature. They do a FANTASTIC job of cleaning the terminal ends and the ground points.
We added a 2nd grounds strap also, We did this as well as cleanin the rear engine ground. We bought a standard 24" grounds strap with 2 eye type ends. I pulled it thru a grommet right in front of the battery where there was room to get it thru. I lubed it up with WD40 and it slid right in. I attached it (after cleaning with the grinder) to the same post on the battery box wall as the current grounding point with a longer bolt. I then ran it along the top of the cam cover to one of the intake manifold bolts.
This didn't "fix" any specific issue but it did help. When using the blinkers the temp and oil pressure level guages would slightly go up and down as the blinker bllinked. This has now stopped with the new ground. We did clean every ground we can find; from the trunk area to tghe headlight area.

I've got die grinders and rotary tools to fix that right up, no problem.
Ironically, on "this" side, there is not anything but a threaded hole... but all three (two stock +1 aftermarket) connections are now on there!
I had to use a spare bolt -- no special material brass bolt... etc...
