Post Carbon Fiber Shift **** Installed

I got this shifter from eBay for $50 it came with the original boot with aluminum trim from a 996.
I dont know if he has any more. I have to change the boot but am worried about colour match, Classic Grey is faded to Classic Something?<a href="http://hobbystage.net/porsche/media.cgi?site=eddiemc&folder=*&id=1036544564-003346" target="_blank">Shifter</a>

you can get a version for your 951. just use the boxster ****. i dont know how much the carbon version is, but i asked the porsche parts guy how much it would be for a standard boxster **** and it was just over a hundred bucks for the ****, with black leather. i really like it personally. its got the five speed pattern, a porsche crest, and its factory. the best part, it has the same rectangular fitting as the 944/951 shifter so it fits right up. perfect if you're in the market for a shift ****, only a few bucks more than a momo, it comes with an integrated boot, and it feels awesome to boot. heh get it, to boot. ok sorry that was a dumb joke

take care

It has the same rectangular hollow fitting as the original ****, except for an allen key type screw that holds the **** in place, instead of the spring clip.

Height is the same, I did not have to trim anything. There is a slight clink when I change gears and a slight tinny sound sometimes. I believe you can get them new with the boot for a 993 for $350.

You can maybe try this site.<a href="http://www.carnewal.com/" target="_blank">www.carnewal.com</a>

The crest is engraved into the aluminum, it may be possible to get a small decal.
