Thanks for the enthusiasm :P I'll definetally take videos, if I decide to do this... What about super heated oil? I was under the impression that with the proper amount of fuel going it the system cools your motor because of molecules splitting and soaking up heat or something fancy like that

no, go back and watch the videos...

think of life as an unending series of opportunities. there's never too much power.

what you will learn at the forums is horsepower is — e a r n e d... no cheating with a beloved 9-4-4 — nope, you earn it w/ smashed up knuckles, burnt fingers, forearms, heat stroke on the deck of Texas Mile tarmac, braving the cold when all your lazy-*** friends are content to sit around playing video games/watching the first round of the playoffs in December, etc, and next,

consulting with Lart and the other guys who part the cars, maybe even stripping one of the "old glories" yourself right down to the tub for the spare intake, wastegate, exhaust, radiator, dme, etc, and collecting all the other parts you need to rebuild a turbo engine, or sourcing a properly built longblock, add new turbo, etc... carry on.

There is no such thing as little boost in a 944 NA. If you want a little boost here is what you do.
1) Pull the engine.
2) Rebuild the head
3) remove the cat
that should be good for 10hp.

Personally, if I need that kind of rush I get behind the wheel of my little brother's 63 Deuce with a Grumpy's toy smallblock clone and scare myself silly! That way I still have my 944 to go back to. Those 331 SBCs rock!

After this experiment, I think you will be changing your user name to "Ihada944t".

That explains a lot, I guess i wasnt clear on this subject. Im already pushing the stock head gasket as much as i ever will in my car (13-14 psi). Im looking for an n/a car to install this in. with just a little kick every now and then untill i blow the head, and then rebuild the head.

My turbo has a hard enough time with me as an owner

The early 944 motor will take a 150 shot all day/month/year/decade long if done right. That means for a few seconds you will beat most 944 turbo's and that is fun regardless if its only for a few seconds.

However, I don't know of any 944's that have ran faster 1/4mile times then myself that are Porsche 4 cylinder powered. I had absolutely no boost on my car and regardless of how you feel about spray the results speak for themselves.

Thanks for not being a ****head. IM not looking for a quarter mile car. Im not ignorant like you think maaaaaan I rebuilt a motor twice for my 944t and swapped one. Also I have been to the dragstrip many times and nobody running NOS responsibly on any of their cars had a problem. My friend has a VR6 corrado and i was thinking of one of those to because they work well with nitrous apparently. And because there faster stock anyway.

I dont mean to hate but we all know how fickle these damn motors are. I was driving my moms tC and the oil filter fell off (stupid vocational kids) and i drove it for a quarter mile and we pulled over (we didnt know it was off) and drove it to the mechanics across the street. It was fine and we have 10k miles on it since with no problems. If you go around a turn to fast and suck up one bubble in the pickup tube and you have to rebuild the motor.

thanks for the vids though it shows why retards shouldnt be given nitrous.

You could always use the FQS to richen the mix and retard the timing...
