Question What's the best?

What's the best aluminum polish that you have ever used? Or what's your favorite? And where can it be bought?

I like Mothers...can find it anywhere probably. I am interested in something a bit more high strength though. Lets talk application technique and where you are applying it too.

Yeah Mothers takes some elbow grease. However in the end it comes out nice. Thats why I am looking for something with more *** behind it.

I like Mothers. Have you tried using it on an orbital with a buffing pad.

Check out Gurureports.com They are a bunch of car guys like us who do special reports on things like waxes. I just got my copy. I believe they are now doing a wheel and tire care article. They rate each product. Good stuff.

SEMICHROME is another good light abrasive paste but not much different than Mother's. It really depends on what you want to do. If you're polishing uncoated aluminum I would recommend staying with Mother's. If you need to smooth or cut the surface, there are polishing compounds and rouges available with more abrasive qualities but those wheels look great - aren't the rims clear coated? If so, just use some good wax.

I want to bring out a better shine on the lip of the wheel above. I just got the lips polished recently. And after I washed the car the lips now look a bit oxidized. I only used water on the wheels, no chemicals. So I need to bring the shine back. I have tried Mothers, Blue Magic, Never Dull, and some stuff like Never Dull that is pink. No luck on any of them. <img border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" title="" src="graemlins/cussing.gif" />
