Default 968 CS Steering Wheel alignment problem

I just got a brand new 968 Club Sport steering wheel for my 944. I noticed that it is a few degrees off center when installed. I tried various positions on the steering column, but it's either slightly to the right, or a bit more to the left. Test drove it in between installs, it's not a big problem but bothers me. Is there a way to adjust this?

You can play with the adjustments on the tie rod ends for minor tweaks like this. I was in need of an alignment anyway so I ended up taking it to the alignment shop and asking them to straighten it out.

Had the same problem when I added a 968 CS wheel. If you feel that the alignment on your car is correct you can adjust your tie rods as Greg mentioned. I would suggest 1/2 turn at a time, in on one side and out on the other. The key is to going he opposite direction that your wheel is pointed when you car is going straight.
