I bought my 1987 for reason no smog test after 20 years old .But if it is 1988 or newer regardless of the age test is required here in Ontario. So I think this cash grab from smog testing is the government taking our money, again less cash in our hands.. I have never had a vehicle that did not pass . Keep that oil changed and change it before you get the test and get the cat good and hot then take it for a test.
