I asked to have the basic kit made with longer hoses, then rerouted them around the back of the head to help get them away from the header heat.
Very good idea! What is the length of your new fuel lines?

Same here... my blue lines lasted 3 years or so before cracking to the point I was no longer comfortable using them. The local oil filter supply shop made me custom SS fuel lines with compression sleeves and AN fittings for about $210 total, including a jumper.
