Default R12 Can tap with valve.

Where can i find one. Not a side puncture thing, those leak. I need to add a little freon to my system, but i don't need an entire can and once i puncture the side of the can, i have to empty the can since it'll leak out.

I've had side-tapped cans of R-12 for several years and never had one leak yet. Where are you buying your tap clamps? I've actually had more issues with the top clamp style valves leaking or not sealing right on R-12 cans.

I got the top puncture kind from e-bay -- there were dozens for sale when I got mine.

got my side clamp from a local auto part store... instead of buying another and trying i'd rather just get a top puncture one.

The cheaper one you have to turn the vlave very hard to get it to turn off but it is ok I use the guage set and you can turn it off there.
