Default Sunvisor Clips - HELP!

I have read a few sunvisor clip threads using the search feature but have yet to find a good replacement for the plastic OEM sunvisor clips.

Am I missing something or is my only choice to by the cheap easily re-broken plastic clips?

TIA,
Cory

Well, my visor clips lasted for 26 years broke. I replaced them with the original style, and expect them to last another 26 years.

I just went to Pick N Pull and grabbed a pair off the metal/plastic ones of a 90's VW. Some Audi's have the same ones too.

I know for sure that the ones from a vw New Beetle are a perfect fit,i had them on for about 10 min, color didn't go with my int. .I would just use the originals ,they last long enough.

Search for Joe Jackson. He makes solid Stainless Steel clips with a spring loaded bearing in them for a positive connection. They are really nice pieces that would be difficult to break. He also sells them in black if you prefer.

Yes it will... PS: part number is 3B0 857 561 A ,if i remember correctly they are a little more expensive than our OEM ones but they do seem more durable, that plastic can take anything, ask me how i know lol.You can always find them at a salvage yard for close to nothing.

I work at a VW dealer and sunvisor clips from a 2000-2005 Jetta GLI (make sure its a GLI or they wont be black) will work perfect........if you want to keep stock ones though, IM me, I've got one brand new still in the bag with all the screws and washers.

I appreciate the feedback fellas! I justed PM's Joe Jackson. Let's hope he's still "steppin' out tonight" and still making the stainless steel beauties!

If I knew some applicable Joe Jackson lyrics I'd quote them. All I can think of is "Is she really going out with him?" which has nothing to do with anything. Anyway, for anyone else who cares, I'm around just in lurker mode.

Cory, your clips are going in the mail tomorrow.
