Wow...thanks for bad mouthing my engine (just kidding, I know you are all good natured??)But the wiper came alive again today. The switch was in the on position and it began working. Think I may have a loose fuse??

I replaced my wiper switch a couple of weeks ago...whadda difference...they're not flakey and slow anymore and the washers started working!

I probably could have just cleaned all the contacts and used some dielectric tune-up grease but hey...these things are 20 years old.

Now I have about a 1000 other switches, contacts, connections to clean & 'tune-up'.

It's a dirty job but somebody gotta...

Ok, here's an interesting problem, my wipers are set wrong. By that I mean when they are in the stowed position they sit too high, and when I turn them on, the over extend and hit the weather strip on the windshield. How do you reset this, can I pull the arm off the motor and turn it a couple of splines?

take off your wipers.

turn the wiper switch a couple of times, let the wipers reset to stock idle position.

then, reinstall the wipers to lay in the idle position that suits you.

I also, ensure you have the correct length wipers. the passenger side wipers are supposed to be shorter than the driver side, I believe.

Also, incorrect lengths and idle positions will not give you optimal wiping patterns, and reduce heavy downpour visibility.

I spent a lot of time trying to fix the PO's stupid plastic wiper escapade.

I replaced mine a while ago and the sizes listed on the wiper manufacturer's booklets was the same for both sides, 20" IIRC.

Just a short addition Sharky.

It's not a spline thing. Kind of a friction fit. Frig waiting till Saturday. You could do it while filling up. The longest part is going to be finding the right size socket.

Yeah, thanks for all the help, I didn't really know how it attached, just though I'd figure it out on the fly, but again, Rennlist has paid for itself again. Thanks guys!

M82A1 the Light .50 with the box magazine?

Mmmm yeah. Love that puppy. Told my armorer I'd go 1/2 with him and he could keep it at his house.

Now I want a supressed Mp-5. Of course I've always wanted an Mp-10

I've fired a suppressed MP-5, it's nice not to have to wear hearing protection while blasting away at 600 rpm! Right now all I have is a pre-ban AK, and a post-ban CAR-15 that I built. If you don't mind me asking, what's in your inventory?

Sid...be careful here. Remember he's in Texas and they don't fly their state flag below the U.S. flag like the rest of us.

He could be trying to find out what the rest of us have. Don't be fooled.

Unless of course, both you guys are airline pilots!

You guys in the ROW getting all this down?
