Me and the Testarossa
I'll make this short and sweet. Pulling out just a street or two from my house to head up to the university to take care of some business. Fairly rural roads heading into suburban. Bright red Ferrari Testarossa zooms by me as I take a ralph and head onto the main street and follow.
We pull up to the light to take a right and head into town and theres one car already at the light sitting at idle and headed straight. The Ferrari swings right to get around the sitting car to take the turn (theres room for doing this) and heavy foots it down the rural single lane toward town. I follow right after him and in the car sitting at idle I hear...
"Holy **** do you see that?!?!?"
...as I get on it a bit and honestly start eating toward his back fender. Who knows if he was giving it everything he had. We were both churning out some church music though.
Two points here:
1) The dudes at idle were obviously talking about me.
2) No matter how much faster I might be, the Testarossa has the sexiest *** end on a car Ive ever seen. Looks about as wide as a Hummer back there. Perhaps its Italian trash but if I found one at a firesale price, I'd BE ALL OVER IT.
Theres only so much you can overcome in a 951. Speed and handling perhaps. The Red Head, or Tesarossa, is a marvel in sexyness though. Its like a woman in a short leather skirt and stilletos -- and apologizes for nothing.
There really is something to say about good looks. I was in love, even if only for a moment, as I drove by him as he turned into the ice cream shop and reminded myself that the girl I already have is like the girl next door. And thats who Mom said I should always drive.

I went to a dealer once and test drove a Testarossa they had for sale. I was not impress by it in the performance/power area and the sound of the engine was not that much different than the sound from my 964 (sounded sweet, but not that much different, and yes, I floored the thing) The car, however, is a work of art. Would love to own one. I agree with you, that is one very sexy-looking car!!

I just loooove the way the Testarossa rumbles behind me, giving me a nice back massage...an expensive one, but what the heck, right? I test drove a blk/tan, but I did prefer how the Diablo handled.

Last summer I saw a Testarossa at a stoplight. Got a good, long stare in. Unfortunately it turned the other way, so it was kinda brief. Definitely a beautiful car! <img border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" title="" src="graemlins/bigok.gif" />

I'm still thinking about that encounter with the Testarossa. I know acceleration and handling wise it probably had very little on me -- perhaps even a step back if I remember some old R&T test results.
I still cant get around the sexy lines though. Ive seen a black one on the rack where I take the Porsche, but it was obviously going 0mph. In motion it just adds something. You look at photos of a Rossa and you say, "yeah yeah, and those side vents just read overkill." Until you see it go by and then I was saying, "Boy it all seems just so right."
Ahh that *** end. The thing should be sitting in the Louvre. At least from my vantagepoint which was in the rear, the butt end of the V-12 was putting out some sweet chords.
But we're Porsche people right. To hell with Maranello Italy.

I always break out a Miami Vice tape now and then to admire the Testarossa. The white makes the *** look much bigger, which is a good thing on the Testarossa. I agree...probably the sexiest lines ever on a car. The Enzo has nothing on the Testarossa when it comes to sex appeal.

I wholeheartedly agree with everyone about the beauty of the 512 Testarrosa. In my opinion the prettiest modern Ferrari.
And the Enzo is very ugly in person. They had it at the LA auto show last month and the lines are really jagged and out of place, and the car is very small to boot, which just accentuated the bad lines (think S class mercedes squished into the C class). Yeah it may perform a hell of a lot better, but for the money why not just buy a 360, a murcialago, and a GT2.

Nah, try $50k or under...if you take an off color like white you could get into the low 40's for a 30k mile car or so...early flying single sideview cars, knockoff centerlugs, etc. Finding a serviced up car may be tough, though, so it might be another $4-$5k depending on teh mechanic.
