Default another "my car is faster than yours"

So I was just chatting with a friend, and my 944 (NA) came up. He then told me how his old Honda Del Sol VTECH could out-corner, out-accelerate, out-anything my 944 in autocross or on a track without any modifications to the honda. The Del Sol is a small car and I'm sure it's light, but... come on.
I told him he'd have to get a hold of one and prove it. Anybody with auto-X or track experience running with a Del Sol? I really could care less about hondas, but thought this was interesting.

I have no expirence with one, but i would say it could give you a run for your money. Lightweight car + Vtec motor = good. The major downfall to the Del Sol is it being a front motor, front wheel drive car. Thus being a major indifference in the weight balance.

I'm not really a Honda fan, but i have to give it to them on there motors, they can make great power @ high rpms with no forced induction.

Let me know what the results are!!!

I always say, you can have the fastest car in the world, but if you don't know what you are doing with it, then what's the point?

it could very much be down to driver skill ...

del sol is light...but it's a piece of crap for handling. SCCA classifies it as G Stock. a 8v 944 is E stock. E's are faster than G's.

let's put some money on it.

Just tell him your dad is bigger than his dad, and if he doesn't shut up, your dad will come around to beat up his dad.

That should bring matters to a generally satisfactory conclusion.

Tell him his car is faster and then shove it off the top of the parking garage and say, "See, you were right".

There is no love like the last one, no car as sweet as the one you used to have, and no better job than where you just came from!
