Post Clutch Pedal to the floor

Okay...I don't get this. When I'm driving...sometimes my clutch pedal drops to the floor. Now I thought maybe this was my slave cylinder....but it has been changed about 3000km ago along with the master clutch cylinder. The weird thing is that it doesn't it more when I push slowly on the clutch then when I push quicky and release quickly.
Any ideas?
Is it the slave again!?
Car is an 84 944.

Sounds like it...

Is there any fluid down by your feet? Check closely, it may be a small leak. Sounds like the master cylinder, at least that's what mine was when I had similar symptoms.

its most likely the master cylinder. but before I got too much into replacing the master/slave cylinders, etc, I would first try to re bleed the clutch. like Matt said, if you have any, any, new fluid on the carpet, then its definitely the master cylinder.

but first try to rebleed the system. the clutch can be hard to get all the air out, without a pressue bleeder.

If the slaves leaking, the fluid might just sit in the clutch bellhousing...

Also, there was some talk around here about the FTE/*** parts from Paragon not lasting too long. Hopefully it was an isolated incident (because those are the parts I bought), but...Which did you replace yours with, the FTE or ATE?

Apparently there are a couple rubber hydraulic lines up around the bellhousing. I've heard that sometimes the rubber will "give" when it gets old, causing the rubber to simply expand when the pedal is depressed, and not allowing actuation of the slave cylinder.

Sounds like the master to me, i had similer problems. check for fluid at your feet. try to rebleed the system before replacing anything. somtimes with large changes in temp or climate, it causes condensation and air in the hydraulic lines. if you bleed it, you may be set for a few more years......

Thanks for the replies guys....I was hoping someone would say it was nothing
Tremelune: Yes I did buy *** parts....I won't comment on what I think of them right now, but as you can imagine, they truly are full of sh**, I mean "stuff".
Hopefully you won't have the same problem 3000km after changing them.

The weird thing with the pedal is that I drive the car normally and it shifts fine and the pedal comes back properly....however, if I just touch the pedal and make it go down about 1inch or less, it slowly goes to the floor.

In any case, I'll rebleed the system and see what happens. Hopefully it'll solve the problem. I think my relationship with 944's is coming to an end....all this money....it never ends

Thanks again everyone.
