Post What's the best Porsche info magazine to subscribe to??

With the nearest shop 20 miles away I shall need a postal delivery and I'd like it be the "right" magazine for 944 info.
Recommendations appreciated

Try "911 and Porsche World" from CHP. Usually has at least one tech article on the 944 every month. One of the staff is/was looking after 3 of them, so had plenty to right about.

Not sure you'll find Excellence over in the UK. If you want a coffee table glossy GT Purely Porsche magazine is also a UK publication

I disagree, excellence is a good magazine but doesn't have too much 944 content in it. Every now and then they run an article about a modified 944, usually a turbo. Other than that 944 coverage is quite minimal IMO. I remember the first time I picked one up almost 6 years ago, I loved it and subscribed immidiately. Next time I wasn't so sure if I should, and now the reg. cards are sitting on the bookshelf. Maybe I'll get around to it...

911 and Porsche world is a nice magazine, costs a little much in the US.

Panorama is OK, but almost no 944 content. Nice to have on the coffee table though.

GT is also nice, but over priced, and again good for the coffee table.

Maybe I'm just not satisfied w/the current selection of magazines...

Since you're in Scotland I'd go with 911 & Porsche World as my first choice. They even organize track days that, I believe, give you a discount if you subscribe.

I get Pano and read the brit mags and Excellence (AKA "Exc911ence") at the local Borders book store. If I were to subscribe to one, I'd get 911 & Porsche World.

I'd first spend my money on becoming a Rennlist member.

Exclamation

What we really need is a magazine dedicated to front engine water pumpers. No way I am going to subscribe to anything pushing old air coolers and 914's to almost complete exclusion of 924/944/968's <img border="0" alt="[nono]" title="" src="graemlins/nono.gif" />

Funny, I have enjoyed the articles on the 944 by Jim Pasha in Excellence. There was one recent one on how to upgrade brakes. Very thorough and instructive. Consider that the 944 is no longer "in favor" (read being produced) and any article is a find.
