Default Radio switched 12v line no longer works

Radio doesn't work anymore. I pulled the radio and checked the switched 12v line and it doesn't get power in any key position.

The fuses are all OK. Not sure where to look next, is there anything else that is run off of the radio circuit that I can check out to confirm that it is the whole circuit and not just the aftermarket wiring of the radio done by the PO.

Is the electrical portion of the ignition switch a possibility?

on the 86 NA the radio comes from its own 7.5A fuse (#36) which comes from the ignition accessory switch

i would re-check or replace the fuses. If not, could be the ignition switch.

This happened to me too. But some days it would be on and some days it would be off. Turns out the fuse was loose ..... Check your fuses and you should be good to go.

Thanks, I will check the fuse connection again but this time to make sure it is making contact. Also could it be the ignition coil if the car still starts up fine and everything but the sunroof retract works in the acc key position?

my 84 had a weird issue like that, I recall there being an intermittement connection at the fuse block...bought a new "radio relay" which proved futile. Enventually I had a repeat issue but it was the ignition switch that time. I think you are on the right trail.
