Has anyone used the belt tensioner from Blasek?
Blasek Precision in Canada offers a belt tensioner for $50 that supposedly replaces the $400 Porsche tool. Has anyone used it or own one? I'd love to hear if it works as well as the real deal.
Thanks,
JB

Never used that one...a friend of mine has a "German car only" mechanic as he puts it and I liberated his tool from his shop and used it then put it back claiming ignorance as to how I got it. The real deal works great...check this out, never used this tool, but this company has helped me a bit...

They have a calibration bar for $35. Good luck.

I don't know if the tool Blaszak uses is actually German. It may be. But I do know that it is called the "Krikit". I bought mine from the local NAPA store for $10. You can do a search on Rennlist or Pelican for using this tool. I found a lot on Pelican. I did my first retension last month.
