We shouldn't rate drivers we weren't able to see while they were driving-so I'd have to say Gilles V for passion, Prost for racecraft, and Peterson for car control. I think I really would've dug Tazio Nuvolari, however. And Stefan Bellof would've been something else had he lived.

What a bunch of nerds.
Mario Andretti. He's done it all and won it all. From dirt to ovals to road race. No one comes close to the man.
And as far as Schuey goes, he's driving a high tech paddle wheel electronic shifting go kart.
Lets se him use a clutch and a stick shift like a real man, back in the real days of racing. He would be a pylon.

Schumacher is amazing, he has accomplished so much, I honestly don't think any current driver comes close.
Historically there have been some great drivers, I have always loved Emmo and Dan Guerney.

The year Mario won the F1 title his teammate was quicker. I love the guy, but he also was very hard on his equipment, and nothing was ever his fault. Great driver, great career, but not one of the gods.

Best driver?
Easy question. Difficult answer.
Schumacher is a seemingly easy choice. But, I don't like his style and I wonder how he would have fared against Prost or Senna in their prime. Perhaps he never would have even made it or just been simply noteable.
For me, Prost is the best. He was not a particularly great qualifier, but he always seemed to put together the race and won many that it seemed he shouldn't have. He often looked slow, yet clicked off fastest race laps. And nobody was better at preserving his tires.
So many greats to choose from.

- well, at least the Boxsters are assembled here
- the same factory in Uusikaupunki also does neat cabrio/hard-top designs
- quite recently the Helsinki Polytechnic (STADIA) and the Helsinki University of Art and Design (UIAH) completed a sports-car project called "Raceabout 02". See <a href="http://sivut.koti.soon.fi/iirol/kotisivu/" target="_blank">this web page</a> for more info, it's pretty cool!
So while we don't have any finnish car brands, there's a lot of related stuff going on in here...
