Guys, thats a waste of time. Their always was one of those petitions flying around last fall when the news first game out. It had over 60,000!!!! names on it. They didn't care with that one, what makes you think they will care with this other one?

I don't like NASCAR - even though I live in North Carolina. Sure, I've been to a couple of Busch races and went to the Rockingham cup race last year. But it's just not my cup of tea.
Having said that I think that all of this criticism of the Speed Channel is just crying over spilled milk. They have bills to pay to keep the channel on the air and NASCAR crap probably pays the bills a lot better than the 117th rerun of a My Classic Car episode on steam cars (though I did like the episode when they drove Leno's Stanley Steamer!).
So what's the problem?
Last weekend I watched the Australian F1 race live (incredible start!), this weekend they are showing same day coverage on all four days of the Corsican Rally, and the following weekend I get live coverage of the Malaysian GP (at 1:30 in the morning) and a same day re-run in primetime Sunday night.
There is not a channel on television that shows my favorite programs 24/7.
I don't watch TV 24/7.
It is time to grow up and move on - or at least take these complaints OT.

You and Ralph are taking this way too seriously. I doubt you took the time [meaning 30 seconds] to check out the petition, but it's more humorous than anything else. Waste of time? If you consider 30 seconds a significant amount of time to waste, I suppose you could say that... If the thing took longer than a minute I would not have posted it, like you said it won't amount to much if anything at all. Luke has the right idea, he's amused by the stuff on the site. I apologize to the rest of you that don't, I'll try to come up with something better next time.

I wasn't taking anything too serious. You are right, I didn't take the time to look at it. I did last year when the first one came around. I even posted it at several different boards, including this one, which was when it was in a different format. That didn't do crap, what makes you think this one will work. I was just letting you guys know that its already been done. Sorry for giving you guys the heads up. Didn't realize you were going to be so **** about it.

PLEASE-NASCAR is a joke! Look at qualifying speeds this year and compare them to 1979..see anything similar? Surely racing technology has come further than this!??
