Red face Worlds loneliest bolt pattern/offset

I have an 84' 944, I have so far found 3, yes, 3 aftermarket wheels that will fit: Fondmetal 9a, Mille Miglia cup 1 & cup 3. That's it. oh, and they're like $1800 with tires. Is this like the worlds loneliest bolt pattern and offset? Any leads on other wheels that will fit (besides the Fuchs or Phonedials). I particularly like the BBS Hockenheim R style.
Thanks,
Rutger

Well...there's Fikse, but you aren't gonna like the price. A handful of other companies make lightweight wheels for Porsches too, but the $ are up there. I guess the logic is "why would anyone replace high quality wheels with cheaper ones?" Those MM Cup 1,2&3 wheels are the only inexpensive wheels I have ever seen for our cars, and compared to the OE they are crap. If you want that look, spend the cash for the real thing.
BBS DOES make wheels that fit Porsche's bolt pattern and offset BTW.

From what I've heard, the Fuchs are the lightest wheels going anyway. Helps handling a lot to have light wheels: unsprung weight is not good. I think they look OK too.

rutger,

its not the bolt pattern that is rare, its the OFFSET. there are MANY rims that will fit your car, BUT, you will need spacers to correct the offset.

Check out the classifieds on this site. There are tons (no pun intended) of wheels for sale. Most will fit your car! And, they are far cheaper than new ones. I found my Kenesis Supercups there and they were flawless. I got them for $1500 les than retail. The Pole Position tires on them still had nipples on the edges!

Talking

http://www.groupawheels.com I've spoken with this guy several times and he's very knowledgable concerning early 944 offsets. He carries ROH wheels. I love the look of the "ZS" model in the "photos" section! Those are 17x8 and 17x9 in the photos! Very awesome looking and, if you ask the guy nicely, he'll make you a break on the price!

Sorry Instigator, I didn't mean to offend, guess I should have had a "IMHO" in there.

Didn't you introduce yourself as having a sense of humor, lighten up! If you want to be called Shaun, why isn't Shaun in the upper left corner of your post. Perhaps my ethnic background causes me to be offended by what you did choose to put in that corner, but we're getting

im not offended at all.. but you would be amazed at the number of racist e-mails i have gotten since sept. 11th about MIDDLE EASTERN or TERRORIST. there was even a post at pelican that got way off topic and ended getting into someone calling me OSAMA.

"mideastmafia" has no correlation with any kind of terrorism or MAFIA gang. it was a joke since freshman year with my buddies...

INSTIGATOR, did you mean it about giving me a hug? i would LOVE one. creep on over to my place.
