My 1989 951 weighed in at 3200 lbs without a driver. Full interior, full tank of gas, 17" rims and rubber.

By contrast my 1973 914 (Sheridan Widebody Kit, 17" Kinesis wheels, stripped interior) weighed in at 1400 lbs on the same scale..... However that was without an engine or transmission - I'm guessing 2000-2100 lbs when I put the 915 tranny and Porsche 6 cylinder in. Can anyone say "land missle" that will corner too?

if you want to weigh your car, just go to one of the garbage dumps that charges you per weight dumped in your pickup, give the guy in the office $5 and he will weigh your car just like any of the cars or pickups that come in to dump garbage, their scales are usually accurate within 20lbs. Also you can try a truck stop, their scales are certified so that you can even take the printout to the secretary of state if you need to register your car, truck, or trailer at actual weight.

Yes, car weighs in at 2620 pre-race, even weight dist. left/right, 1% heavy in the rear (49/51 front/rear dist.).

Does that answer your question?

Car has full 6-point cage w/ much cross-bracing, no interior or pass seat. Weight is with driver (me).

I plan to weigh mine, but I have to find one first. Until then, I was just wondering what some of yours weighed. Thanks for the numbers guys. These things seem to weigh a fair amount more than people say they do (this seems to be a standard -- everyone thinks their car is light, except for those who have weighed them).

Please keep the weights coming, I am esp. interested in hearing the relative weights of a pre-85.5 and a post-85.5 NA.

Without driver and with about 1/4 tank of gas, my '89 S2 weighed 2959 lb. (weighed on a 4-pad digital Intercomp scale). Car has aftermarket springs (28-mm bars, 275-lb. coils), coil-over kit, Fikse 17-in. wheels, 225/245 Falken Azenis tires, Sparco steering wheel (airbags removed).

With rear carpet, spare, jack, jumper cables, air compressor, etc. removed for auto-x, it's right at 2900 lb.

I too have had my car corner balanced but I couldn't tell you what the figures were. but 2900 lbs sounds right.
