Radiator Cap Unscrewing Itself?
The cap feels good and tight when screwed down, I took it for a run yesterday boosting the crap out of it, didn't lose any coolant out the overflow nor the cap. Today I took another drive, and the cap unscrewed itself partially (so it was loose) and I lost a bunch of coolant because of it. It did this the other day after a drive and I thought I had just not tightened the cap all the way.
What could be going on here?

Three Wheelin'
if the cap isnt locking in to place as radiator caps always do, then it could twist off when it gets hot. since metal expands much more than plastic when hot, the cap could loosen itself with the help of some vibration. does this seem plausible in your case?

Sounds like the tabs on the reservoir are worn smooth enough that they don't lock it properly, assuming the tabs on the cap are in good shape. Time for a nice, clear new reservoir?
