Default 968 engine for sale

Price is $2000

I bought this engine for my 951 last fall and have since changed my plans, so it's for sale again. I decided to stick with a turbo engine.

Mileage is less than 60k. I replaced the rod bearings, camshaft chain pads, and gaskets. The insides of this engine are perfect, perfect cylinder walls, etc. I have pictures of everything. I also have a 968 belhousing, starter, and oil cooler if you need them.

PM me your email address if you would like to see many more pictures. This is a beautiful engine.

you might post the engine number and if it has 1R or 2R rods. If it has 2R rods someone might buy it to replace an early 968 engine and boost.

IIRC the rods are forged. I have pictures of everything, including the engine number, for anyone interested.

Great price.

Someone ****** this up.

As for the '89 944...

www.944s3.com

If my memory serves me, you will need:

S2 clutch, S2 flywheel, S2 flywheel sensor mounting bracket (but use the 968 flywheel sensor). Your motor mounts will work. Mount the oil cooler in the front right, cut the valence out to create a duct. There are other minor things that folks here will be able to help you with as they come up.

I recommend the Spec S2 clutch (they did not have it available when I did this swap).

Unless your 89 is in really really good shape, this will be the best $3k you ever spent on it. Do it, you will NOT be disappointed.

If I even knew where to begin with the install in my 87 NA, or who in Massachusetts area could do it, I'd highly consider it based on the price of the install. I'm only 17 miles east of Springfield in Ware!!!

Bump, I can ship for ~$300 anywhere in the country, through a discount I get at work. You must have a loading dock to receive though.
