Default Aftermarket Gauges

So question for you guys.

I'm in the process of cleaning out the interior of my car and one of the projects I was planning for it was replacing the old dash with a simple race dash.

I have a feeling replacing the gauges would also be a necessity in such a project. So my question is, what sort of compatibility issues would i run into with replacing the spedometer or tachometer and other gauges with aftermarket equivalents?

Thanks!

I did a full race dash, used the IQ3 for speedo and tachometer although I don't need the tach much, noise is pretty much good enough anymore.

Put the temp sensor in the original location (don't put it on the line past the thermostat, if the thermostat fails....you lose a motor....found that out the hard way) Voltage easy, oil pressure, I drilled out the original pressure fitting and screwed the new sending unit in.

I've also added an oil temp gauge and working on a fuel tank gauge for the fuel cell but don't have pics of those installed.

Those look great Brent! I am planning something like that this fall for my Cup car... I hate the stock late gauge cluster and it is a pain to mount with my roll bar anyway.
