So I planned to upgrade to a 115 amp alternator on my early 85; got all the parts or so I thought. The 115 amp unit uses larger diameter bolts to mount the unit. No big deal right? I'll just drill them out and tap the lower hole for the larger thread. Test fitting the alt on the (removed) bracket it becomes obvious that this will be a tight fit, too tight without a fair amount of grinding on the bracket and even then I'm not sure.

I have a AC delete bracket I'd be willing to trade for a good used 944 126 123 06 alt bracket. The upper (long hole) must clear an M10 thread. The delete bracket is one of those machined from a flat aluminum plate (not a factory bracket).
