Powerhaus sells the caliper adapters you will need. You'll also need 17" wheels. If you use the 928S4 or 993 calipers you can get by with 16" wheels.

I personally think Big Reds will be overkill on your car. 928S4 brakes are more than enough braking power for your car and will fit under 16" 951 fuchs with a 1/4" spacer.

S4's on my car:

I agree. Big Reds are too much. In fact with good pads the stock brakes work quite well even on the track.

BUT if you do want big brakes. Turbo S/ S4 are the ones you want.

I agree with the reds being to big but ive heard that it difficult to fit bigger brakes on a early 944, dunno where, but i got some 911 c2 -92 model front calipers available for cheap atm, and i wonder are these the same as the s4 brakes? or similar in some way? do i need adapters for them?

Thanx

I have a set of twin piston claipers from a 944 turbo, that I want to fit on my 924S. Do these require an adapter and spacer, or do I just need to mount the 944 Turbo hubs? Thanks

I'm interested in knowing about this also. I think the calipers are lacking something, sort of the same way the rear end lacks without the turbo/s2 valance.

Kinda like people refer to the 16v head as a 4v head.

And with good pads they provide awesome braking on my 951. Definitely enough for a 951 and more than enough for an n/a 944 or 924.
The big reds are overkill on a 944. Buy 951 brakes and put the money you save into engine upgrades so you can make use of those brakes.

My bust, I did mean two pistons per side four per caliper. The question remains would I need an adapter to mount these calipers to an NA? Thanks

I think you need to get turbo spindles to run them. I know that the turbo calipers don't fit the N/A cars. I'd like to find adaptors though, I have a cheap line on some turbo brakes.

To mount the 951 calipers, you'll need a lot of stuff, all from an early offset 951 (read:1986 model):

2 Spindles/hubs
2 Struts
4 mounting bolts for the calipers
2 rotors

optional:

SS brake lines
Blue fluid
951 brake bias valve

To mount S4 calipers, use the same list above, but:

substitute custom rotors for the 951 rotors

Add 2 adapters (Powerhaus, Koklen, etc) to fit the S4 calipers to the 951 spindle.

All of the above is pertaining to an 86 or older car. Late offset cars are different.
