Even the media has got on to 924 bashing...watched Autoweek last night on Speed channel and they reviewed the Cayenne...said something about people thinking the Cayenne affected Porsche reputation as a sports car specialist....and then he pointed out the 924 (oh dear!)

I've also seen at least one Yellow Ruf (ctr?) although I cannot say for sure if it's the real deal or not.

Cool

Jaime...

I was trying to throw in a little humour of the rediculous in here.

As soon as I get this front engine money pit in shape my project will be an old 911 Targa (I'll cut out any rust and replace with factory panels, no Meyers Manx bodies, I was just joking!!!)

Jim 1987 944S (who wants a big yard and a Porsche tractor to cut the grass with!) <img border="0" alt="[jumper]" title="" src="graemlins/jumper.gif" />

An old 911. I dream of one too... a 1970-73 to make it into a 911RS Replica or to even leave it at 911 S specs. But, most likely, it is not going to happen... ...as soon as I finish this car my father-in-law wants to get a Ford Mustang to restore. He has even purchased all books on the subject.

BTW, I enjoy reading your quotes, crack me up everytime! <img border="0" alt="[byebye]" title="" src="graemlins/wave.gif" />

Ahhh the world is full of idiots and I think I ran into this guys brother yesterday. I go to a guys house to pickup a couple of parts and I drive the 944 so I can get a few miles on the rebuilt motor. The guy looks out and sees the car and then tries to tell me the history and how its really an Audi, So the f%$* what!!I mean this guy drives a MINI VAN and has a POS 911 that will never see the road and he is going to school me?? At least my 944 can move down the road without a tow truck hook dragging it!! The worst thing is, I got his ad from Panorama

I gotta get me a 944 just so I can experience some of the **** you guys are talking about. And as for the Boxster dudes, who the hell do they think they report to? You flip a wave at one of them and they give you the "what the **** are you lookin at" look. You know the one... Oh sorry, thats a different thread. Anyway, I do need a 944 to mess around with, can anyone tell me if a 951 is a good idea? I don't really care to baby the thing so would a N/A be much less maintenance than the Turbo?

They do cost a little more to maintain, as there's just more pieces.

Drive a 951 and then a 944. I gurantee you'll want the 951. If you get a 944, you'll just want to boost the power anyways eventually, and that ain't too easy in an NA.

i have never thought about boosting the power in my 84... its already a go-kart, why mess with a good thing. i drive my roomies 87 951(guru'd) now and then, and its a blast, but honestly i'd get arrested. i'm beginning to drive the 84 so well that i think i may get arrested with that!!! lol... learning to drive a 944 will make owning a 951 all that much better since you know how to drive it to the limit already, then get more power

to the email - what a retard, i'm glad you didnt respont, anyone that uneducated should be cut off from society like the cancer he is. let him think his vee dub is superior, and live in denial. as for me, i'll look under the hood anytime i need to reassure myself that its a true blue PORSCHE.

also, travis, we gotta hang out sometime this summer, maybe i can make a trip down to see ya or something, bring my dad to a sofla get together

word up, homies
- Michael
