Post RUF 930 at the ring, who's got the link to the vid?

There was a yellow RUF 930 that raced the ring with an in car camera. I lost that vid and want it back.

Please help!

How about a 944 Turbo S at the ring. The car is on the edge for a large part of the video, and at one point he makes an unbelievable save.

Steve - that video is excellent! The save you mention - about 5/6ths through, opposite lock exiting a long left?

Sent shivers up my spine!

Just goes to show how right Porsche got it with this car. Overtaking super bikes on a road course can't be easy either!

Unbelievable

Thanks for hooking us up with that. That is the first 944 I've seen footage of. I have yet to push mine quite that hard.

What tires are you running?

I am in the lucky position to have access to the Nurburgring on a regular basis. I was there at Easter for a full week and a total of 800 track miles.

The driver of the 944 Turbo is a Norwegen - friend of a friend. He has a major amount of rallying experience - which is the reason his driving style is so ragged. His laptime on the Ring is around 8min flat - which is unbelievable in a pretty much stock car. The corner where he almost loses it is known as Sprunghugle or Pflanzgarten II. Difficult to see on the video, but right in the middle of the corner - which is pretty much flat out - the track drops off very steeply. The back of the car gets very very light - and if you are going fast enough you can obviously get a major moment. Great save though.

The driver in the Ruf video will you believe it is one of their mechanics.
