Isn't the Carrera GT non-turbocharged?

...and since intercoolers are used on turbocharged cars, there is no such thing as a Carrera GT intercooler?

damn, you guys don't need to study not on finals, but on your 924/944 knowledge before posting. can't beleive the crap around here!

facts:

straight from the <a href="http://www.connact.com/~kgross/FAQ/944faq04.html" target="_blank">944 faq</a>....(and why the hell not?!)

924 Carrera GT

In 1980, Porsche homologated four hundred copies of the 924 Carrera. Power was increased to 210 hbp thanks in part to the addition of an intercooler. To get this power to the road, wheel dimensions were enhanced with 7J x 15" rims all around. The bodywork was tweaked as well, with wider flares over the wheel wells and extensive use of polyurethane panels instead of steel.

MAJOR Turbocharging occurred with the bad *** Carrera GT, all the way to 425 Hp for the 937, jeeez!
gettin ya pimp slapped around....

Believe me...I have been an admirer of the 924 Carrera GT for years, ever since an article was published in 911 & Porsche World which also featured the red and black 924 Carreras on the cover (one was a GT and the other a GTS?). I was just too quick to jump on the possibility to nab somebody. Plus this past week in addition to this one has turned my brain to tapioca, which is why I forgot about the 924 Carrera. No offense to the 924 owners.

Chill out deni durrell, the subject line just says Carrera GT, there's no mention of 924 anywhere. I thought he was talking about the Carrera GT as well, it's an understandable mix up.

oh... well, in that case. the only carrera gt that comes to my mind is the "original"! when(?) they become attainable (and affordable) to everyone, then, and only then, i might first think of one of those mid-engine cars, some day. this *is* a 924/944 board, you know. you guys are no fun!

937:

btw: i've seen and completely checked out a white 937 two years ago at Carlsen Porsche here in No. Calif... the turbo is HUGE and the strut tower braces underneath the hood are welded..
