I was peeking through the front slits on my 951 and noticed a black grill in front of the radiator. I thought maybe that was the oil cooler but distinctly remembered looking in the shop manuals a while back and reading a section on replacing that and it was a completely different looking part:

Can anyone tell me what that thing is? It looks like some of the fins are smashed in - not visibly damaged, just the fins are smushed in a few places and would appear to impede the air flow through it then back to the radiator.
