Car got left out in the heavy rain last night, so I felt the need to wash it this morning. Here's some pics:

beautiful car, man. ever think of changing that old school dist. cap? did you sand down the porsche lettering on the cam housing? black is sharp, but im still partial to the metallics

 

It's a metallic paint, the camera just hides that along with some swirl marks/ rock chips For the engine, I just took a wire brush to it to clean the whole area up. then I put multiple strips of masking tape across the whole lettering, and then used a razor blade to cut it away. Sprayed on a few coats of hi-temp, and it was good to go!

The next thing on my to-do list is a thurough tune-up.

Yea, I did that one just for you Scott. Geaux Tigers!!! Just found out my cousin signed with LSU this fall baseball and football. LSU has been trying to get him since Junior year. Full scholarships across the country and talked him into staying in town with the best.....

 

iloveporsches, you inspired me to do this. A metallic grey. My problem is I did not intend to polish the letters, but I did and now I don't think I am to happy with it. I have one with the flash, one without. I need your guys opinion,

As you see there are variations of shine etc, on the letters. Am I going to have to mothers polish this.

Maybe it will look better in the day time(like yours). These photos were under florescent lighting.

 

Donald, Looks pretty good to me. You're from Saskatchewan. Man I want to go hunting up there soooooo baaaadddd!!!

I'll ask around, I haven't hunted for awhile, but I have friends who do.
