Red face Strange Porsche Wheels?

I've got a chance to pick up some 16X8 wheels but not sure what brand they are or if they will fit. Heres the details. Wheels are 5 spoke, currently white, with caps that cover the lug nuts, caps have the Porsche shield logo on them. Measured the ofset as per Dano's web site calculations method and came up with only about 10.3 mm offset? Based on this, and I believe the 83 944 uses 23mm offset, they would fit with about 1/2 inch wider stance per side? Am I on the right track? Got a chance to pick them up for a really great price, would be nice to have better options for tires than whats available for 15 inchers. Anybody ever seen/heard of these? And would they work on my 83? Have one of the wheels here, no tire on it, will trial fit it this weekend.
Thanks in advance,
Bill

Porsche design 16x8" 5-spoke sounds like 968 or Boxster wheels. However, they have a completely different offset.

What do the wheels say the offsets are? Look on the face of the wheel, and you should see something like "7Jx16 ET55" around the tire valve area. I have 5-spoke 7Jx16 and 8Jx16 wheels on my car, but they have a totally different offset (7's have a 55mm offset and the 8's have a 52.3mm offset)

Do the wheels look like this:

Momo Star.

10mm rear 16x8
23mm front 16x7

10mm may rub on the fronts, but they are great for the rears.

more picts on my website, click on cars, then Ace.

Dan D. I like those, No they are not them tho. They are very similar tho, looked at them closer, found "made in japan" molded inside one of the spokes, must be a "knock off" of the ones you have. very similar but the spokes protrude out a bit. Don't look too bad tho, cept dirty and crappy white coating on them. Just weighed them, they weigh about 20 lbs. Not sure if I want them but what does everybody think, 4 for $100. Worth it? But I do love those Momo Stars, first wheel I've seen that I like besides my cookie cutters. Are they expensive? Thanks again all
