Actually...this will sound dumb, but I don't know where the PO got them from. I've noticed a few cars around here with them, so maybe it's a local shop producing them.
They look good, and for some reason people confuse the car with a ferrari (don't ask??), but my next 944 will probably be a stock one. Also, taking tight turns with the addon risks scratching them, which is also another annoyance.
Thanks for the comments guys...well appreciated

Very nice car there! I tell you what though with those rockers you should add some nice 5 spoke wheels either off new Boxsters or 911's and that thing will look mean as hell...then you'll DEFINATELY get some extra looks.

I would love to do that, but I dropped enough money into this car, and I think putting a few grand on Porsche mags isn't too smart right now...especially now that school bills are starting again.
If anyone is interested in sending over some mags feel free
Thanks for the nice comments

That car is in sweet shape!

And, you have an EXTERNAL antenna!? Is it power? Did you have it put in? How is the reception?

Obsessed with FM,

Andy

Yep the antenna is external...I though all pre 85.5's were like that??
Anyways, the reception isn't too hot, but it's because the wire running from the radio to the antenna is messed up. Never got around to fixing that.
The car came like that as well....no work on my part <img src="graemlins/a_smil17.gif" border="0" alt="[blabla]" />

yeah all pre 85.5's came that way. (with the external antenna) I think the phone dials are an add on though because 86 was the first year for them on 944's...i think.

German company Kamei made simliar "Ferrari" rockers for E30 BMW's. Might be a Kamei item, since they manufactured that kind of rockers for several other cars as well.
The best looking aftermarket rockers/rear valance i have ever seen was a Zender kit. They were possible to order even from factory ! My friend ordered them into his previous '88 N/A which he bought new while he lived in Germany.Unfortunately Zender does not make that kit anymore.Even the molds have been destoreyd.
here's url to the pic with Zender rockers.Sorry no pic of that rear valance.

Here's the pic of the self made rear valance installed to 944
