Question Totally of Topic - Emily's Granny

I've been gone from the site until recently for about 6 months or so (used to be zachcarrier). I haven't seen any posts lately from "emily'sgranny", and just wondered if she was still around. Everyone else seems to have stuck around while I was gone, but she was very helpful in my 951 battles, and wondered what happened. Thanks!

PS: By the way, Ribs, wasn't your car in peices back in July? Looks like it's starting to get closer - did you ever ditch that old Toyota thing?

Zach; Thx for the concern ,but I'm still here. Due to the tremendous effort of my fellow posters and their great knowledge and advice and the help they so generously give,I just watch, and enjoy this board immensely.I am particurly proud of the younger group who seek answers to their problems ,sometimes more important then there cars. This board is a great way to solve our car problems and as a souding board too.
Perry ;haven't forgot you, back been ackting up .

Perry ;as you can see my spelling is acting up too.I have come to know and respect many of you even though I've not met you. Danno for his tech knowledge , Jim for his Humor, Perry for being unwilling to give up on his car, Ribs for reminding me of my youth. Each brings a spirit to this board in their own way and it is my pleasure to be associated with all of you.

It was wrecked last july by a dumb *** friend of mine, and my insurance company paid for it to be brought back from the dead. I bought a bunch of tools to fix the few problems I was having with it, but time ran out and I ended up putting the project on hold...some more problems crept up, and finally at the end of january I tore it to pieces. It is at the 1/2 way point (I consider replacing the rod bearings 1/2 way...now all I have to do it put it back together) but I am waiting on this insurance thing to see how much money I am going to get...if I get enough, top of the list will be a T04E turbo, a tial wastegate, adj. FPR, and dyno time/custom burned chips at autothority. I am going to look more into the ghetto MAF off of a saab/volvo/C4 vette (they used a bosch unit for a few years, and this is probably one of the bigger bosch MAFs that I can get) and how to do a voltage conversion so my ECU reads it properly (TT made a little black box to do it, and it cost him a couple of bucks on stuff from radioshack...I'm going to look more into this). I also want to get front coilovers and t-bars...I'll have to see how this whole money thing pans out though.

I was originally going to pull the head to put a wide fire ring headgasket on, but I started to myself with a lot of the "while i'm in there" and finally figured that I would want to get a 5 angle grind job, port and polished, port matched to the intake, titanium valve springs, solid lifters, oversized valves, o-ringed, hotter cam, blah blah blah and figured I might as well just wait until I blow something on my head to start worrying about that stuff because I would end up spending a load of cash on it and it wouldn't be something I would need to do just yet.

So, right now, I am waiting to get my oil pickup back from getting a ring welded to it (windage protection) but after that I will start throwing her back together.

Here are some of the trials and tribulations I have had just taking it apart so far:

Hopefully I will get it all back together by the end of the month.
