Post pro-m mafs for NA 944

just talked to the guys at pro-m and they do have them for our cars (NA) it is this maf http://pro-flow.com/vane.html this is the link to there web site. the cost is $605 for the plastic meter and $660 for the chrome meter. they also said to expect about a 7-10hp gain.

it is kinda expensive but you can relocate your filter. clean up the engine a little and can be recalibrated for bigger injectors, superchargers,turbos,etc... its a whole lot cheaper than the huntley maf for the NA cars. course you dont get the cool arc2 and the arm1 but you do get a controller to convert the signals.

so you see it is out there for a cheaper price

I'm pretty darn comfident it will do just as good a job too! I will have dyno results in the next couple of weeks to prove it. Until then, I can't talk.

mine was 575 (80mm)? why would the na one be more?

i dont know why its more. he told me that it is the 75mm meter i dont know if its in the samr vane conversion catagory for them. does you maf have a controler attached to it like the one in the link?

maybe it is easier to set one up for the turbos than it is for the NAs

now huntley is saying that they will have the black box and conversion for all porsche models for use with a map sensor. i dont know which is better the maf or the map, i do know that the maf sensor does get fouled after a while but i dont know the drawbacks from the maps yet.

I was told mine was a 75 as well. But my ruler tells me other wise. Same thing with hose connectors.

Mine DOES have the box. If there was an equally price route where I could do away with my motronic, i would jump all over it.

There's a little velocity-stack profile to the MAF . So the inlet is one size, then it narrow down a bit as it goes across the sensor and out the back. You should measure it at the outlet or at the smallest diameter.
