Glad it worked out,it's amazing how little things like the clock working add to the experience in the vehicle.

Nice work.

Hmm I guess that's another difference between 944s and 968s - in my 968 the display light is on with the key, and on dim with the running lights.

It's me I do mostly 914 stuff, but I have a 951 and got realy tired of replacing used clocks. Bought one on ebay worked fine for 6 onths then it delaminated. Figured that I was not the only one in that boat, and with the help of a good friend at Intel, got a batch of these chips made up.

I list them on ebay -914rubber is my username
or
You can buy them from my website -

Sorry I don't spend allot of time on this thread, but thought I'd make it easer for those that want the kit to find it. You can contact me throught the website easiest.

Just installed my kit, I didn't have directions so I was patient and payed attention when I took everything apart. It's actually quite easy but just be careful and take your time so you don't break anything.

So where does that loose bulb go that seems to be hanging out by itself (not the one in the clock assembly). I'm assuming it is for the lighter but I don't see what or how it connects to anything?

That's what I thought but it doesn't seem to have any way to attach to the lighter/dash that I can see. Am I missing something?

The light for the cigar lighter has a round plastic slot next to the clock and cigar lighter the bulb slides down inside. Yours has been broken somewhere down the line and the bulb will just be floating free. I used a metal pencil clip, epoxy, and cut the clip to length. Anchor it on the plastic next to the clock and slide in the bulb holder.

Cheers,
Larry
