I see that you are in Mansfield, I am just south of the city limit sign.
Haha, yeah Eric. It's Clint in Mansfield; you came out to look at my slant nose conversion one night when I was working on the headlights. I actually sold that one and have a 89 911 Cab now. I sold my 951 also (out of necessity rather than willingly). I'm doing the LS1 conversion on the Cab soon so I may be calling you for some help.

BTW, I was offering the headliner to V2 if he wanted to cut pieces to fit.

NO problem, as you can see my memory can be short sometimes. I have both the rear headliner and sun roof liner made of fiberglass and fit perfect, So if you ever go back to the 944's and need one give me a shout,
Call me when you get ready to do the LS1 swap, Even if all you need is info. I can save you some head aches !

Thanks for the pictures Eric.

My headliner material came in the other day. It's not bad, but there's no mistaking it for real Alcantara. But six yards of this stuff, shipped, costs less than one yard of Alcantara and I like it better than what I have up there now. It will be a while before it goes in though.

Question.....

I want to reupholster my sunroof headliner. Do I have to pop / drill our the rivets on the side to do this.

Also on the door panels is there a way to take off the exsisting material and have it stiched like the 968 door panels?

Do you just need the sunroof insert? I have one in great shape in black if you need it. It would save you the trouble of having to recover yours.

Mine is in great shape other than the vinyl is separating from the fiber board. I tried to glue it back (3m) it stayed until it got hot and humid. Then I tried again and the vinyl shrank. So I bought a heat gun or I'm doing to set it out in this Texas heat and let it sofen. I wanted to reupholster it and do some kind of stiching detail. I think to recover it I have to pop / drill the rivets along the sides. .
