Default cant get head gasket residue off block, need help soon

all my parts finally came in and i am home for 4 days from business so its time to put the car back together but i cant get the gasket crap off.

so far i have tried:
gas
paint remover
wd-40
brake cleaner
permetex gasket remover
rags
plastic scraper

none of this made any noticeable changes. i am afraid to use anything abrasive but i dont know what options i have left...

is a razor blade my next option?
how easy does the surface really scratch?

I used razor blade and acetone

I'm surprised none of that stuff worked

Use a razor blade, but buy one of those inspection sticker removal tool~blade holder things.

That way you can keep a non-scarring angle. Shyt will come right off....clean up with ScotchBrite.

About 6 hours of work if done slow and gentle.
Leave no scratches on the block or head.
Acetone and a careful razor blade x100
Metal is very soft and can scratch easy

Xacto knife razor blade and lots of patience will work really well.

Anything abrasive will erode the head surface.

exactly what I did... worked great.

I used a medium rollock pad on the die grinder for a few tough spots... VERY CAREFULLY. It won't really hurt a flat surface, but it will take corners off instantly.

Had luck with razor blades as well, prefered the thin single edge type, not utility knife type and contact cleaner. Got a big box, changed them out frequently. Worked with a very light pressure, like a paintbrush type of stroke. Like what was said above, take your time it will come off, just takes a while.

Great, and is it clean!

Not AC delete but without going and taking a look, is it for the DME temp sensor or nearby plug under/near the air intake boot top of engine by the upper balance shaft housing?

Nice

You know there are 2 temp sensors, right?

One for the DME, one for the gauge.

BTW, your engine bay is AWESOME! Very clean.
