we replaced the drive shaft when i 1st picked up the car so the ones in the back are recently tightened. But V2Rocket and Arominus bring up a good point. If the hollow bore on the linkage is worn out too, it will just wear out a fresh pin on a new shift lever. I may just take it apart this weekend and inspect the linkage hollow bore before i order parts. If that is worn out, instead of getting new i may try the 3/8 trick. Thanks for the input everyone.
