I don't have a torque wrench, and have a very heavy hand.
This may have been the root cause of your failure. Get a torque wrench, and save yourself some grief!

Also, when you tighten the bolts, do it stepwise in a cross bolt pattern, like tightening lug nuts on a wheel or flywheel bolts on a flywheel, to distribute the load evenly and squarely between the bolts.

Remove the allen in the center of the drive flange, then i use 2 long bolts threaded through the axle bolts to a flat spot on the transmission, this will push the flange out of the transmission.

OH, so it's pretty tight in there ??
I know it will have splines.
Also is it indeed 7mm Allen head ??
Thanks

This happened to me twice...

If you cant get the remaining bolts out just get another stub axle. The stub axle can be removed easily, its a single allen head that holds it in the center. The stub axle won't be very tight, i removed mine by just pulling. It's very easy to remove.

Put some lock-tite on the new bolts and you'll be good.
