The enhancer I was thinking was the one from lindsey racing. It's also available from paragon-products.com.

Julie, 944's have galvanized bodies and can take a massive beating before they start to rust... of course there's still the issue with frequent cold starts causing extra wear on the engine and all that, but they really are some of the better winter cars out there.

Last winter I had the opportunity to drive both my S and dad's VW Passat w/ four wheel drive... and guess what, the 944S was 1) a lot more fun and 2) just felt better 99% of the time

(I wouldn't drive the 951 in the snow though, it's far too low ... plowing isn't fun)

Is this the kind of winter driving you do, Sami? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Luis - almost, I just go a bit faster

One thing that needs to be stressed though is that everybody who wants to drive 944s in the snow should really use proper winter tires! There is absolutely no point in trying to get around with some Z speed rated super grip summer rubbers. I had studded Nokians... worked like a charm!

Devia: rust is not an issue with these cars. Like someone else mentioned they have fully galvanized bodies, and unless it's been in an accident and not repaired properly it will not rust. They salt the roads down here too. I grew up in Calgary, Alberta,Canada, so I know all about rust and driving in the snow.

Other than the other drivers (which scare the @#$% out of me) these cars are great snow/winter cars. Throw on a set of snow tires (if you're somewhere that actually has a winter) and you're good to go.

This is not to say that when I go back to Canada I won't find a nice Audi A4 quattro to drive in the snow/ice 8).

Dal.

It seems so foreign to me that people would have to alter their driving style or vehicle for certain times of the year.
All I do is pay extra attention to the coolant levels in the summer.

Heh, just paranoid, Dal, just paranoid. Ever since I lost my Porsche, I've been overthinking about how I will take care of my next one, when I acquire it.

Ag, I found something called "water wetter", when I was over at Anderson Motorworks. John told me that they use it in the racecars, and it keeps the engine cooler by 10 -15 degrees. It keeps water from rusting out the radiator, but not good for the cold winters.

I've been seriously contemplating it, for my car, when I get it.

Hey Julie:

Non-sequitur, but is your avatar a copy of your handiwork? If so, it looks good!

Michelle - That's a generic one from Rennlist, Anna Puma from a Japanese show called "Tank Police" is one of two mutant sisters, forced to live outside the city in the radiation as outlaws. Really kewl, especially when on their bikes.

But thanks for the compliment! I've been debating over one of using one of my art pieces, or pic of a totalled McFarlane, heheh. Also have one of a Diablo, and other exotics.
