Post backlit gauge faces

I tore the dash apart last night and started putting my new backlit gauge faces in when I realized, being the genious I am, I accidentally threw away the instructions some time over the last few weeks. Can anyone tell me a suitable place to connect them for power?

If you're talking about the indiglo type face plates I soldered mine to the metal area around the bulb. Since I was pulling the bulbs anyway, there was nothing to interfere with. Works like a charm!

I thought about that but wasn't sure if it'd supply enough power.. thanks Does the orientation matter? I'm not sure if there's a diode or anything..

I also soldered them to the middle bulb. The bottom contact is possitive and the top contact is negative.

If you're referring to me, the house is in Ottawa, IL, about an hour and a half SW of Chicago.

AARRGGGH I screwed around and screwed around and couldn't get them working.. All the lights were on except the faces werent lit. Checked a fuse, sure enough, it was blown. Got in, looked, they were working great. I cleaned up my wires, looked again.. instrument lights minus faces are lit once again. Only this time the fuse isn't blown.

Yeah yeah, check my grounds.. where are they?
Thanks

I think you should email speedhut. They are pretty nice and would probably email you some directions. Keep trying, it is sooooooooooooooo worth it.

Did you buy the items from speedhut? If not, where did you get them and how did it work with the boost gauge? Any pics?

TIA,
